growing up

It is difficult to see my girls growing up someways yes someways no...  things are changing so fast around here.

Meg is half way through her senior year and is fast approaching her Guatemela trip, it doesnt seem possible that it is going by so fast.  She has to finish applying to college and she is working alot of hours at McDonalds.  She is involved in alot of things so she is always busy.  She has a gaggle of good friends that are always planning this thing or that.  Cant believe that she will soon be eighteen, my baby eighteen where did the time go?

Missy wow is twenty that just doesnt seem to roll off the tongue right,  how did that happen?  She is a somphomore in college, again how did that happen?  She has a serious boyfriend, how did that happen?
She is in a really good spot right now and I am feeling quite confindent in who she is becoming, there are days but I am so glad for who she is becoming.  Her boyfriend is a wonderful Christian young man that suites her well, and get her corny off beat personality.  I hope it works out for the two of them.

Thanksgiving right around the corner and then Christmas this year is flying by.

developing new friendships

So yesterday I was able to hang out with Missy's boyfriends mother, her name is Tina.  We sat around and quilted and had a good time comparing photos.  It is funny how much we are alike and a little spooky.  She has an AA degree in interpreting, and she also loves to do photography, she quilts and crochets and alot of other similarities.  However she is on the shy side and I am not.

I also have been able to meet alot of new people at work, and also a new gal that actually got the job at MERIL that I applied for.  I have been renewing friendships that have been lackluster over the years due to business on my part.  I have really enjoyed the ability to do this this year and it is nice to start to have some time to myself.

I finally got a good nights sleep which was wonderful!!  The beagle had a siezure yesterday which scared us all.  Well better get off here .

contemplative Saturday

I am at work now, but am in what is called white zone, so i have more down time, so I thought I would take the oppurtunity to blog.  It has been busy around the Kaster household.  With older girls, they each have their work schedules and classes, Dave has his work schedule and I have mine, so sometimes our house is a dumping ground.  Dave went shopping today since I am at work and we are out of everything.  It is so good to have a mate that is such a loving and capable man.  He has felt pretty rotten the last few days.  His tooth they worked on doesnt seem quite right so she is looking at it on Tuesday.  Trying to get the wisdom teeth stuff done on his vacation.

Missy had another ovarian cyst yesterday, I am wondering if she needs to get that checked into, she seems to have two or three a year, so going to do some research and see, I think some people have a higher tendency towards them.  I myself have never had one, but when she gets them it always spooks me cause it mimics the start of an appendix attack.

Meg has her misson letter ready so now we just need to label and get them out.  I got my test results back and missed it by a hair, so taking the MO test this month hopefully.  Going to conquer it, or die trying and that maybe a toss up.  Well better go for now.

birthday girl and they are growing up fast

About a month Meg will take off to Guatemela again for her second trip, it will be an exciting thing for her.  She is doing so well at her job that everyday they ask if they can move up her birthday up. They really want her to be a manager but she cant till she is 18.  She is plodding along on her school work but they have scheduled her alot of hours outside of her availabilty so I sent a note and will need to talk in person if they dont shape up a little.  She is getting into the session that chess will start up and we are planning on going to super nationals.  It will be a fun thing to do for her senior year.  We are almost half way with this year.  Got her senior picture in and they look great.

Missy had a great birthday, we all went out to eat at Carlos O Kelly  even Gpa Kaster and Kelly were down due to his kidney stone.  Spencer also came and joined us.  He brought her a flower  and not chocolates but beef jerky.  A way to the girls heart through beef jerky... too funny.  However we all enjoyed the dinner and then Missy and Spencer went out on a date after to the book store and then came home and hung out untill he needed to go home.  She got many well wishes from friends over facebook also.  I also lost half of her present due to my hiding it too well.  I have become my mother....

I had five days off in a row and got alot of stuff done I was so happy to actually feel like I got things accomplished.  Next week looks like a busy one.  Well better get back to work.

This is a blog to share with family and friends.A recording of our everyday happening, a modern day diary.
