out of boxes and into the house

Well we are starting to get into the house today, wow what a fast and furious journey, what  a mess it is to get everything set up and broke down in two different houses what a crazy thing.  I will try to take some pics and post them over the weekend.  Well better go for now.

I am a homeowner

Well I am offically a homeowner, signed all the papers and we will be able to start getting into the place this Saturday.  My folks are coming down and I plan to plant flowers and have Dave and the girls move some stuff.
Dave got me a picnic/kitchen table from Jamesport that I had been eyeballing, he did it while I was in Iowa, he is such a great guy.  It was for my birthday, he surprised me last night at Denise house. 

Well more later, since I am up in the middle of the night and not sure if I will make sense.

scoring deals

Well yesterday, I went to interpret and then went shopping before and after.  So at target got trail toothpaste and deodrant for twenty cents.  Got 20 worth of misc at walgreens for 11 and the same happened at CVS.  However at Walmart the rest of it was not as good of score. 

Kinda at a stand still of what to pack next, need to fiqure it out, thinking about getting paper products and doing the kitchen.  Tommorow is the big day.  We will have to be in St. Joe at 9 am.  I'm exicitied about it. 

Well we are off today, me to a short job and then the girls have yearbook till 1 this afternoon, I think they may finish up but if not this Friday they should be done.  Really good experience for both of them.  Well better get around.

freebies, coupons, garage sales and the like

Well I have been fueling my new obbession, what a blast!  I spend about a half hour in the morning if the internet is working checking things out, printing coupons, sending for free samples.  So in the last few days, I have scored two free bic pen packs, and lotion for 33 cents, two free limeades at Taco Bell, two free deodrants and one for a quarter,  and welchs grape juice for a $1, also lip gloss for 64 cents.  Some people scrapbook, I do photos and hunt for bargins and crochet

I have always enjoyed a good bargin, now I am taking it to a new level, dedicated to saving mula!  So my last great frontier will be garage sales and auctions, why have I hestitated, well really bad experience garage sales with my girls when they were under 6.  So yeah those bad memories but will try again. 

Today two jobs and then off to Iowa and graduation. Well must get in the shower.

Lifestyle of the Rich with Freebies

Well I have found yet another new hobby, it is so cool!  It is freebie hunting, couponing and the like.  Well my loot in the last few days of freebie hunting.  With coupons and promos I got these things free in the last two days.  A regular size box of Post Shredded Wheat (made 25 cents), Lane Bryant panties ($12.50 normally), trail mascra, trail size Biore pore cleasner (actually made 3 cents). The rules of the game are as follows I can only get them if they are free and I dont have to purchase something, nothing is to be purchased inside stores on an impulse, I can only get them if I am already in town-no special trips.  Bargins this week are as follows, a glider rocker (at DAV), Dawn soap at 80cents and Puffs at 80 cents.  Today it will be free deodrant!! How cool!

I am really enjoying the thrill of the hunt with this and if you would like the websites I will send them to you.  Today I have a job and the van has some repairs and the girls have yearbook staff all day. 

Sunday was really good, it came to me how much God has been so faithful and good to us!  One of the prayers of my heart for the last three years has been a respite for all of us, a calling away like Elijah at the brook Kerith.  The Lord overwhelmed Sunday morning with his goodness and his answer to us.  It has gone so well and so smoothly and so wonderful. Praise the Lord!

feeling overwhelmed

Wow, things are moving fast we maybe closing on the house as early as next week.  Then moving will happen after that.  What a quick thing.  All that to say this I feel a tad overwhelmed right now.  It seems to me that I cant seem to get moving in one direction I feel like I am chasing things and never really accomplishing anything. 

I have pretty much slain the homeschooling subjects but each has one big subject hanging on and a few small things to finish.  I just want to be done, they dont seem to share that, I have never understood the reasoning about draggin things out.  Oh well.  Signed MDK up for drivers ed yesterday, it goes out in the mail tommorow.  It is the first week of June.

Today I go to the doctor for blood work (due to the diertic I take). I also interpret this afternoon.  I have one job on Friday also.  Plan to get my hair cut after that.

I plan to paint the hallway tonight, started taping it off last night.  Dave is having a rough week his whole left side is giving him trouble.  He works and comes home and that is about it for him.  Watched a movie last night called Moses, it is from the turner productions, we have watched others in this series and they are excellent.  Well worth a watch, found them on Netflix.  Well better get around more later.

cash only

Well Dave and I have been trying to go to a cash only system.  It has been an eye opener when we were working the booth at the air show, we spent two days selling just stuff.  It was definately overpriced stuff also.  There were maybe two decently priced things out of thirty. We watched again and again the difference between using cash for purchases and using cards, even debit cards.  So we are going to cash, to cut down on impluse spending. 

Been praying about a car for Missy,  Dave's Dad has a ford tempo he has been wanting a truck, Kevin Denises hubby found one for 600, we will buy that and then he will sign over the Tempo to Missy.  It has some miles but a really nice little car.  So Missy handed over the 200 she had saved up and will owe us four hundred and title and liscence.  We will pay insurance and she will get the other costs that come with that.  Now for a liscence and a job, both of which I have asked from her for my birthday.  I also want MDK to have a permit by my birthday.  We will see!! 

I am going in a little early to get my eyebrows waxed cheap at the beauty learning school and look for chairs at DAV.  While I better get around.

going home for the weekend

Well last night we played bums we sat around and watched tv and did very little.  Things are moving fast with the house it look like we may close in a few weeks and then they will close and then we will start moving.  It is exiciting and scary all at the same time.  Scary as we are adjusting to a new rhythm, budget, and life style.

Looking at next years schedule for the girls.  MLK will proably take two courses at home and two at the college.  MDK will take everything at home next year.  We will also have enrichment class signup sometime in the summer.  They will do vball perhaps.  Well I had better finish packing.

God's fingerprints

The apprisial will be done by the same guy who did it before, and all the stuff will be fixed without any issues, we are moving forward at a wonderful pace.  The Lord has been in this move, as we made this decision it was a extremely difficult one to know that it was right.  We fought with the decision for over a year.  However as things move with speed and blessing galore it reminds me of getting into the ministry at Hopkins. 

We have prayed for replacements for different things back them and God went beyond what we asked.  We are doing the same with fleeces this time also.  So far, a cheap entertainment center, a grill for five bucks, a free washer and dryer set, a free reclainer.  We are still praying for kitchen chairs and patio furntiure.  The Lord has reassured us that we are doing the right thing.  I have prayed for more jobs and that has poured in.

Dave has taken the gantlet for the last subject with the girls, it is the one they hate doing and I am pooped so he and the girls are going to finish that up in the next few weeks. I am interpreting the next two days in Stanberry.

Last night we made bread and then the electricty went off, I was so pooped that the girls and done baked it and I went to bed when the electricty went off.  We had all gone to DQ for ice cream with the Griffins. 

Everett neigbor and the man who rents one of his houses died yesterday in a freak accident his zero turn radius mower flipped over on him.  He was blue when Everett found him it really shook him up.  They had witnessed to him many a time but was unsure if the man was saved.  Everett needs your prayers.

Well I had better get around and get going for today.

good news at the doctor

 Well I went to the doctor yesterday, I have lost 75 lbs and lost an average of 1.2 lbs a week, which is exactly what they want.  They want you to lose between 1-2 lbs, so she did not give me a fill , I will wait till later in the summer for my next fill.  It was good news because I have not really paid attention too it much with house hunting and moving stuff. 

The girls finished Math and Science yesterday, now they both have just a subject or two to get done.  That is a good feeling as it allieviates that extra thing to think and plan and gives me more time to focus on the move.

Please pray for the appraisal as it is coming up this week, it could be a real sticky situation if it comes in too low.  Pray hard please!

Got the lawn mowed, I think it is my favorite chore, it is peaceful and sunny and no one bothers me when I am doing it. 

I have a full day of interpreting today, just got the call about ten minutes ago.  I picked some wild irises along the road yesterday and their fragrance is filling the room!

what a weekend

Well it was a long weekend that started on a Thursday night.  Dave's mom and stepdad came down and Gma Henderson came down and we had a get together.  The next day we finished up some Math and then started prepping for the "prom".  The theme was old hollywood, so Viv did the hair and Denise did the makeup.  The girls went and had an awesome time.  Also have pics of the rap that the church did for Dave, just a tad scary, Bob please make sure to hold onto those pants!  The other two photos are of the girls working the air show, it was two 11-12 hour days, our last commitement at this church, Dave did one day but was unable to go the next day due to how bad his body was doing.  I worked both days and amazingly only had a little trouble with my ankle, but my butt was whooped when I got home last night.  Well better get off here and get around, Math and three interpreting jobs today.
