39 I am not so sure I like the sound of that

well yesterday was my birthday, didnt do much, worked with Dave at the office, had steak at home, fought with my youngest and watched Waltons. I am not sure quite how I feel about that number 39. It seems well rather old. Today is homeschool graduation, so I am to go with camera packing to take pictures. Well better get around working at the church again this morning.

up in the middle of the night

Well Dave got home late, he was doing his route when he got a call, one of our church members fell down a flight of stairs and broke the tibia clear in two, she had er surgery, so he was late getting home and then he just got to bed about 1. He has quite a few meetings this week at church.

I have my last job bright and early today for this week. So I hope I get sleepy again real soon. However I was staring at the ceiling so I decided to come sit at the computer and stare instead.

Decluttered some of the totes downstairs so that was good. Have a whole bunch in the car to take today. Well better go, getting sleepy I hope.

Went to work and then we were going to go mini golfing well it was packed so we bought the game of clue instead after a stop at the DAV store got some more summer capri and shorts and a extra swimsuit for camp. Came home played two games of clue (MDK won both) that was fun and relaxing. Then we went downstairs to de clutter again. Four huge boxes later I called it quits actually it was only about an hour and a half. The girls think I am half crazied but as my good friend said decluttering your house is like taking a good dump, you feel so much better afterwards. Rain for the next three days so hope the garden likes that. I will have to wait to mow till this weekend. This Sat. we have a choir performance at graduation. We missed the other graduation due to having parents here. Proably get us in trouble with church members. Well better get off here for now and go declutter some more.

memorial day

Well today I work, how did that happen, well when I scheduled I thought it was the following Monday, so it was sorta wierd. It being this early caught alot of people off guard. I plan to do some stuff outdoors today also, but it looks alot like rain here. Hoping to get to the office downstairs and declutter with a vengenance. Maybe my room also, I get so tired of it being the offical dumping grounds. Had wierd dreams all night, about teachers meetings in a big old farm house, with Louie the dog along and bunny rabbits running around in the dark, and people I dont know and coloring a sheet with a gate and wanting to color it orange but instead I had to color it red, and then I fiqured out that the place was in Princeton and when asked where I live I said Seymour IA. Then we went to the basement and sat around the biggest table I have ever seen, and a bunch of high school students come by (dont know them) and then we start dividing up into teams based on the color of our gate and I am upset because I really wanted to be orange. Where does our brain go when it is asleep, how bizzare.

Well I am up early than I wanted to be, just one of those things were your eyes pop open and you know you are done for the night. Yesterday we got the garden planted finally. Then we went to their choir practice and then to bowling with the homeschool group. It was fun time to catch up with people. I enjoyed talking with the Mom. MDK finished her test, she said she was iffy on the history as it was world and she had studied american. She felt pretty good on most of it, I hope she does well.

Today Dave has earmarked for us, some connect time I am hoping, we just get bits and pieces and everynow and again I say we need a day, so we make that happen, it is good in the business of life to make sure you stay connected.

All is quiet as everyone is asleep, hope to get a bunch of pud jobs done around here this weekend. I am working Monday so not really a day off there. The week after that will be very very crazy! Well all for now. More later. BYE

what a cartoon character looks like in real life

Well talk about a bruised ego, Dave had tilled yesterday and it was wet so we let it sit to dry out, so I went out today started up the tiller. Now mind you Dave told me let me do it dear. I said I can handle it. I got it started and it took off with me, the girls said I looked like a cartoon character that had a motor boat take off with them, they held their laughter till after they made sure I was okay, I feel hard scuffed skin all up my left side, left some bruises (getting older sucks), mostly it was the bruised ego I suffered most from. Needless to say I didnt get the garden planted.

MDK first day of testing down, two more to go, I cleaned out four drawers and one hall closet, we are naming this campaign like all good campaigns should be named it is called Clutters Last Stand. MLK gives me a big eye roll and said something to the effect of you know how that battle ends. However short spurrty progress is helpful, I realized that too much stuff makes it difficult to keep things clean, and that I was getting deafeated, so short small goals of a drawer here a closet there this corner, etc has made some great significance.

just thinking

Watched a good movie last night the curious case of benjamin button, the main theme of it is aging and it was so very interesting. Dave and I laid in bed and chatted about it for a while as I cant believe we are coming up on the forties really fast.

We tilled once but it was sooo muddy, so I will see if we can get it tilled and planted today after it has a chance to maybe dry out today. MLK got her One Year Adventure Novel curriculum, she is very exicitied about that. Also got her first paycheck, boy did she light up on that one.

Had my only job this week and then MDK has ITBS testing for the next three days, she is so not exicitied about that. Oh well for her. Well all for now, more later.

waking up from a long nap

Well I feel like I am waking up from a long nap, I seem to have really turned a corner with this depression, it was the worst I had for years but seem to emerging from it.

I am now working on some of my goals since school is finished for the year. Okay the first goal is this, everytime I go to St. Joe I have to take a sack of something for Goodwill. I cleaned off the top of the fridge, the entertainment center, the end table and three drawers. I plan to declutter with a vengance. It just needs to happen, things have been piling up for ten years.

Also plan to get garden in today(if not too wet), and possible work on my quilt. I am exicitied about moving forward on stuff.

Had a run of company this weekend with both of Dave's folks being by. Only one job this week and MDK has ITBS for three days this week. Well better go for now.

been away from the computer

Well I have been busy doing alot of other things and havent blogged as faithfully as usual. Lets see I went to Mom's house on Thurs. that was a nice visit, I went grocery shopping yesterday and many various errands, and then took a middle of the afternoon nap with my hubby (now that was glorious! I got my business cards made and ordered last night. Most of all we finished school!!! We were done on Wed. now mind you MDK has ITBS test this week but we are finished with the work, (they are at least, I have grades to recover from crashed computer and portofilios). I will get to that in a week, enjoying the time off of that before drivers ed and all the craziness starts. I also ordered wallets and a few other prints of the girls to give out for this year. Getting ready to start doing family photos, getting those scheduled and such not.

Weighed in have 14 lbs to go before surgery and got rid of the pop habit (that was a chore let me tell ya). Hoping to get alot of loose ends done over the summer, want to put in garden but it would need to stop raining to do that!

Have unexpected company (dave's dad and gang) they were to be at Denises but she got sick so they landed here. Well better go for now.

catching up

Well I have not been the faithful blogger I usually am. Let's see what has happened.

I had the fablous train trip to visit my friend that was so nice and relaxing and good for my soul and spirit. I came home had a job, then this weekend we mowed (it was thick and heavy). We went to church and someone complained about the church lawn and Dave said okay we are done with the church lawn. Mostly because MDK got her feelings hurt and the Dad in him said enough already. So now we will only be doing our yard. Church services were good we had 118, we also sold flowers for the youth group. MLK job has been sparse, it is frustrating for her, she starts a job and then they dont give her any hours hardly, jobs are scarce for teens, due to the economy so I think she will stick with this one for now.

We came home took a nap and cleaned the basement, planted flowers, yesterday had another job, worked on school work, finished off mdk math for the year, yeaH!!!!! She has Science and a tad bit of history for the year to finish, and then MLK has Bible Doctrines and Geography just a tad and she is done. Now mind you they can make these stretch with the best of them.

Planning on heading home on Thursday just for the day. Have a doctor's appt on Friday. Well better get around for the day. More later

train rides and me time

I had a fantastic time in St Louis. I looooved riding the train, what a neat way to see the US. Very peaceful, comfortable and a lot of time alone with your thoughts. So many times at home you are overwhelmed with all the day to day stuff that you rarely get to just think, and train riding is perfect for that.

Cathy and I had a great time just hanging out, still friends after so long, we were both amazed at how young we feel and how old our bodies act. I am hoping in a few years we can go on a trip together somewhere.

Everything is quiet and I am home and that is a nice feeling, I think the family is going to go see Star trek the new movie. Well I will try to post pics of the girls from their formals. quess that will be later as I cant find them on the computer so I will try downloading them off my camera again. bye for now.
