the things we do for our dogs

Well this was an eventful weekend ending up with a project.  Louie has found out that he can dig out under our fence which was so not good.  He escaped and went down to the pasture that had horses.  He then chased the horses so not good.  Well they didnt like that game and he got kicked we were all so scared because we thought he was dead for a second however it just was a glacing blow and he was able to get under tall grasses and hid, he was so scared that MDK had to go get him, when we got him home he hid under the kitchen table for so long, just petrified.  Well we went and purchased what is called an invisble fence and we put it in yesterday afternoon.  It works well but lets just say Louie has had better weeks.

MLK went to Bonaparte IA with Gma Viv and Aunt Denise and they did a pottery thing, MLK has such a good time.  The rest of us just chilled at home, MDK had alot of catching up to do because she had been a slacker this week so we did alot of schoolwork on Saturday.  I finished the last sesson of Lost, it was pretty good.  Been getting all the vehicles fixed and ready for winter. 

A bit of good news we will get a new roof, some hail damage this summer qualified us to get a new roof, so pray that it all works out well.

Hopefully going to the Truman library today for a field trip.  Well better go.

crocheting a funky hat

I finished crocheting a really funky hat yesterday it is rather cool I will like it but the girls think it is wierd.  I am working on an afghan for MLK but messed it up and had to rip out a whole big bunch ugh.  Been enjoying this hobby alot, as I am able to do more now. 

Life is in full swing with chess practices and bible quiz practice and so forth.  MLK is filling very comfortable in her class now at college hoping she will take two next semster and possible three classes we will see if we have enough money for three and there are classes that she can get into.

I was hoping to mow today but it looks like rain, a bit of good news we had some damage from a hail storm a month ago and we are getting a check for both roofs with depricitation fiqured in but hoping we can find a crew and not have to put out much money to get it all done.  The garage we could do ourselves but it will take some doing to do the house and will try to hire both if we can find some good prices.

WEll better get off and get around got a job this morning.

hand tremors

So I have been having hand tremors off and on since Saturday, it is really wierd no other feeling bad and just seem to get them at random.  I went to the biatric doctor and I had lost seven pounds, I have my one year coming up I am going to try to hit 100 lbs off by that day.  My BMI was at 59 now it is at 45 so that is way cool.  I am noticing that in the pool I sink alot faster.  I am now up to 10 laps about 3 to 4 times a week.  I am going to start walking and see how my ankle holds out if it will do okay with less weight or if I need to go down some more before I can walk for exercise.  I am trying to do some yoga but cant do all the moves due to range of motion issues still but it is getting there. 

MLK had to hang out on campus after her class due to the fact that I had a job.  She hooked up with her friend Sharon, they hung out in her dorm room, funny thing, Sharon is a little clutter bug type, MLK was sitting in her room and she asked if she minded if she helped her clean her room.  Sharon was good natured and took her up on the free labor. 

MDK has Bible quizzing tonight, I have one job tommorow and then off for the weekend, hoping the camp out is still a go, looks rainy however.  I have posion ivy on my legs hope I caught it early enough, but it is not looking good.  Well better get around.

conquered the spot

Well our labor day weekend consisted of just that, labor, we (MDK, Dave and I) conquered across the lawn, we got all the weeds and saplings cut out and they built a fire pit out of old parts of a bridge that was in our brooke I bought a broken fence panel and we set it for a backdrop over there, we pulled up the horse shoe pits and resetting them and two cheap cedar boxes for raised beds over there.  It was a long two day project, but it looks like a new place over there.  Dave will proably pay the price for all the physcial labour, but it was good for his physche.

Today is enrichment classes, hope to swim, and go to the library, have to take the money to Fredrick for MDK also, she is almost there.  Well better go!

a perfect day except getting kicked out of quilting club

Well yesterday was on of those rare days when I got everything done, it just all fell into place.  It was so awesome, did my job, homeschooling, did a roast, mowed the lawn, made phone calls, cleaned house, did laundry, did swimming, got groceries.  It was a good day.  I got a phone call I had joined a quilting thing at church and had gone once, it was going to start again in Sept.  When I was there I told them I would be bringing my 15 year old daughter next time.  We both have worked on quilt and I thought she could help out tooo.  Little did I know.  Anyway she tells me well we the other ladies will not feel comfortable with your daughter being there can she be elsewhere, I said no and explained what all I do on Tuesday, I said I cant come if she cant.  There is no oh well then go ahead and bring here, instead she goes back to blaming the other two saying they wont be comfortable "sharing" (gossiping) with my daughter around.  I replied with well it is a real shame that the other ladies have a us four and no more attiude.  I wasn't mean and hateful but i felt that they needed to realize what exactly they were doing. So I am offically kicked out of the club, best for me as I dont tolerate old biddys sitting around gossiping in the name of Jesus.

Well better get around, school, ice skating, college class to get MLK to, and so much more await me.

a good start

MLK started class yesterday had a good first day, however I screwed up and got her the wrong books for the class so now we are in a big ole hurry to get the right ones.  Our enrichment classes went well and was so glad to see some of our friends.  The girls throughly enjoyed it and then after that they went bowling with some friends.  We came home and just chilled.  I am hoping to get some house cleaning done today because it needs it.

For some reason I am feeling anxious this morning, maybe it is just switching up routines or something.  I do that on occasion, maybe if Dave and MLK get the book situation resolved I can get some swimming in.  Well better go and get people up.
