Wow am I ever in a mood today, I would rather chomp then look at people today, so I am staying home tonight as to "do no harm". It all started this morning, (I have had one of those pressing dull headaches all day) with wailing and knashing of teeth. MDK had a special and had a costume that she couldnt find so I sacrficed a blue bed sheet and whipped up a simple blue covering for her after two mishaps and lots of tears. Then I went into her room, that made my blood boil, she has been really really bad of late to do as little as possible and make everything look semi decent and not very good if you dig. With the interpreting and school and such I hadnt dug very deep it was so not good.
All that to say this I am in a very bad mood, and I hate when I get this way but boy does the things that are suppose to get done get done. I hate being the witch of Endor but sometimes you must. I am thinking that maybe I still might need to visit my doctor, however my sleep patterns are much much better. I am extremely anti social today and dont give a rats patueede about anything at the present moment. Well better get off of here before I affect my readers with my badness.
This is a blog to share with family and friends.A recording of our everyday happening, a modern day diary.

thought this was cute
I saw this done on another blog so I thought I would do it
Outside my window. . . it is dark and cold, frost on the windows
I am thinking . . . about all the stuff I should be doing instead of blogging
From the schoolroom . . . MDK is jumping ahead on Lord of the Rings and doing a paper on Dolley Madison and MLK is still plodding thru Chemistry
I am thankful for . . . my husband, such a faithful man, also a warm house and quiet days
From the kitchen. . . leftovers, but thinking about making bread
I am wearing. . . duckie pj bottoms and a t shirt
I am creating. . . quilt tops, got one done about got the second one done
I am reading. . . A place called Trinity
I am hoping. . . I do good at weigh in on Thursday
I am hearing. . . total quiet, except for a heater fan
Around the house. . . a few chores of clean up, my messy room, the lived in look
In a few weeks. . . well we will be going to Moms to do our quilts and a few weeks after that we will go to the College of the Ozarks
well thought this was cute. More later.

I got alot done
Yesterday I was home, due to the fact the kid I interpreted for was sick. We got alot done around the house. We did alot of schoolwork, we even sat down and worked on ACT questions. That was good, plan to buy some ACT workbooks and work through them before the testing date. I sewed on my quilts getting close to getting both of them put together. Then I will have two more quilts of this style to do. Dave wants me to make one for his friend Steve for his 40th birthday. Then Dave's folks. I know this is a simple pattern and I should move on to a more complicated one but I just like the idea of having something simple and pretty and I enjoy the process and that is what it is all about.
We watched Calamity Jane which I thought was a documentary when I got it from Netflix, but it too was a musical, it was really cute not as good as Annie get Your Gun, but it was good. Well best get around and get to work, today and next Monday and I am done. Bye for now.

annie get your gun
Well yesterday got the day off as the kid I am interpreting for was sick, and then got a call last night that she is still sick so I have today off. It is a welcome break. The girls and I got their school work done and watched a musical Anne get Your gun. What a hoot, very good, MLK esp. liked it. She had a college visit with a friend last year and she saw it on campus and really liked the play version. We still have Guys and Dolls left to watch. I try to supplement their music (done through Choir) with videos on composers, and also musicals. We have watched a whole lot of them. Dave doesnt have a favorite, he is not a fan. MDK likes Phantom of the Opera, Seven Brides, and Newsies. MLK likes The King and I, Annie Get your Gun, and Newsies. I enjoy Seven Brides, Fiddler on the Roof, and Phantom and many more. The girls give me a hard time about the educational stuff we watch, but we have a rule give it fifteen minutes, usually by then we watch without complaint because their hooked. However sometimes you watch because Mom said so! :)
I didnt take a tylenol pm so I am up again, so tonight back to the tylenol pm, I quess maybe all this fog gets people sleeping schedule messed up. It does wear on your spirit. Well all for now more later.

Jan. is almost over
Well, cant believe that this month is almost over, that is a pretty amazing thing. When we got home last night we finished watching "Frontier House" we watched it once before when the kids where little, but it had been a while since we had watched. It is chucked full of good historical stuff, modern day family live in the time period and you see what day to day live was at that time. Very good! I also got a CD audio book of Old West stories and songs and we will work on that this week. I enjoy making history come alive, they both have a solid foundation from the ten series history studies we did in middle school, so we do a lot of different stuff for their high school class.
I am sleeping a tad better due to taking tylenol pm. Still a little restless, dont want to take two because I am afraid that would be too much. Well better go and get around.

a much needed sunny day
Wow it was nice to have a bright sunny day, it was rather cold and crisp but so nice to have the sun. We got up and Dave and I just sat for a half hour I finished a book I was reading and he cat napped for a half hour then we got around. The girls got up and got around and then we went to town. We went to the library for a much needed fix. We are all library addicts, and it is easy to do so with such a nice library. I have made it a goal to read more this year and so far so good. Then we went to Michaels (MLK had a little bit of Christmas money she wanted to spend on art books) and MDK and I went to Walmart. We also bought fabric flat quarters for fifty cents a piece. So we got one for Daves dad and MDK is going to sew one for MJSmith. We will take both her and my sewing machine up to Moms house. I am not sure what MLK will do as she doesnt want to sew proably do something artsy fartsy when we are up there.
I told Dave that I proably wont have very many interpreting assignments since they have added more interpreters, he makes fun of me for saying that, and lo and behold two hours later Sarah called and I am doing Thursdays at the prison. Quess my hubby was right.
Had enrichment classes, the girls were glad to see some of their friends, they will see more when the eight weeks start, as their are more classes at that time. I am looking forward to learn how to knit and crochet. I want to do a granny square afghan by years end. We will see!!
Well better get off here, more later.

well one more week
I have one week and one day left. I enjoy the money but feel so behind on so much. Had a really good Sunday, it was good to see alot of people there again, we seem to be swinging up again. Not sure why. I finished reading in the middle of the night one of my Elm Creek quilt books, I also have another one around the house somewhere, but would need to unbury the house first to find it. Tommorow is our first enrichment class this year everyone is looking forward to it. Well better go!

an evening of sitting and doing nothing
Well yesterday morning, we went to the church and had a work day and the girls and I finished off a Math lesson. MLK have a few questions in Chemistry she needs to do today. Then we had to make a run to Cameron for a few church supplies. Then we came home and did nothing for the rest of the evening. Dave is still not fully recooped from the pnuemonia and sometimes he just sits and breaks out in a cold sweat. He just wanted me to sit with him and do nothing too. Sometimes you just need to sit and enjoy each others company.
Today we have all the church stuff, Bob and family took off to Michigan. Barb Griffin is dying, it is not good, she went into a diabetic coma, they got her out of that and then she suffered a stroke and her legs are swelling, they think her body is shutting down. They are in hope they will make it before she is gone. Bob said that his Mom is ready to go on, and that the family knows that is best as she had lost her ability to walk and talk some. The cancer was back and it was all over her body this time. Pray for their safety and peace of mind.
One more week of interpreting then I may catch up on all the stuff, I have noticed as I age, that I have a full day then work on school work with the girls and do a little something else and I am done in. It would proably help if my sleeping patterns were a little better too. Well need to make some soup before church.

ugh my wierd sleeping patterns
I go through stretches of this in the past few years, usually has to do with my Seasonal Affect Disorder, which is not too bad concerning the winter we have. People with no depresion issues are having a rough time with this winter. I really am doing well for all the long foggy icky days we have had. However my sleep patterns are usually the first thing to get screwed up. I can deal with that it is when I cant read, think clearly and all that it gets to be too much. I have been dealing with this issue all my adult life starting the second year in college so I was 20 when this all started. I really didnt get a good diagnosis till somewhere between the birth of my two daughters. I think I may have dealt with it in my teen years esp my freshman year, but that could have just been teenage stuff.
So what is it like to have to live with this, well not bad if I am on my meds and they are working right. I also have learned all the signs and when I need to adjust my meds. However I can tell you when I was not on my meds or they were not working what a scary place to be. You feel like you should wear a rubber suit and admit yourself.
What does depression look and feel like. Deplitating is what comes to mind first. Looking back to a few times in my life, I quess a word picture comes to my mind you are swimming in this big pool and it has a drain and that drain is sucking down the water and you get caught in the whirlpool and try as you may you cant get away from the suction, you know it will certainly take you over sooner or later. When I am in a good place, like now, i think back to the bad times, I distinctly remember being in Maryville and not knowing how to get home to Hopkins, wow that was scary, I remember reading an article in a magazine three times and being unable to recall what I read each time. I remember thinking if I just fall out the car door while it is going down the road, woah where did that come from. Being in a typing classroom hearing the words and not knowing how to interpret, spooky. Wanting to stay in bed and sleep and sleep and sleep. Total brain fog, is also a word I put to this.
I do really well most of the time, and have a great husband that has seen me through all of this and is very straight with me, and says get to the doctor yesterday, when I need to hear that. Do I need to the doctor now, no this up in the middle of the night is not a big warning sign, it is just a be villigant and make sure the other warning signs arent coming. I can tolerate wierd sleeping patterns, it is the less serious of all the sympthoms and is acceptable for me.
Well I will finish this post just thought a snapshot of this might make for an interesting post.

went to bed early again
Wow I have been really tired the last few days, cant seem to get enough sleep. Dave should be able if the weather holds to get his route done today, and I have today and tommorow. I wonder if I am trying to get sick or maybe it is just the weather, so much fog, but at least no ice here.
Started sewing on my quilt again last night putting the rows together, that is when it gets fun because it starts to come together. MLK made a wonderful meatloaf (yes that is MLK) and baked beans, mac and cheese. She has taken a notion to make supper and cook more.
Yesterday was pretty relaxed when I got home we finished all the school stuff, and then we watched Mark Lowry goes to Hollywood and the War of 1812. It was nice not to have to go anywhere, we canceled services due to extreme fog and chance of ice.
Well better get around.

family outing
Well yesterday we worked on school work, had a pretty productive day and then we went to MDK chess boot camp, I planned to swim, but there was a swim meet, so sad for me. Then we met Dave at the movies and saw Sherlock Holmes, it was pretty good. It was nice for all of us to be able to go out together. I also picked up church supplies and when I was there I found I love lucy the 2nd sesaon for ten bucks. MDK loves these, the rest of us enjoy them also.
I work today and to the end of the week. I am ready for a different job assignment, not that this is bad, but I am missing the variety. Well better get around.

another day at the ranch
Well Dave got his project done yesterday, actually he got two or three done. His first project was to get the whirlpool bath that was set up downstairs usuable, he hung shower curtins around all four areas so it is not looking like a basement as much and got the basement acceptable. Then he cleaned out his garage, he also picked up MDK. I interpreted went to the doctor for my annual and got my "frankwart" (named after the monster Frankstein) burned off. Talk about painful it is amazing how much that hurt. Came home we watched a few eposides and I went to bed at 9 and slept clear thru till 7. I have been very tired of late and then sometimes I am up in the middle of the night, meds or menopause I am not sure which. I seem to be doing better with the mood swings and anxiety, it is amazing what a little sunshine can do.
Well the girls are pretty much done with their assignments for today and we are heading into chess boot camp, we will swim while MDK is there. We may also see Sherlock Holmes after boot camp we will wait and see on that.
Maybe this week I will get to sew my quilts together, quess we wait and see, working the rest of the week and then another week and one day. Well better go.

an interesting concept
Well we had an interesting meeting last night, it was the lady from Christian Legacy Academy, it was really awesome. It is an online school that could be really feasable for our church. We have the space to do it and it would look something like 8 to noon Monday thru Thursday. It is something we would very much like for MDK. MLK has just a few credits left so we would proably just enroll her in a few classes and let her do them on her own time schedule. Anyway more research on that. The church may or may not want that to happen. It would be good for them. There are alot of dissatisfied people in the Maysville school system.
Well better go for now

the weekend
Well it has been a busy weekend, doing a whole lot of small stuff this weekend. We stayed around the home frontier Saturday and worked on stuff at the church, I got the arrangement of the quilts all laid out and I also got them pinned. I am hoping to start sewing on them soon. I will soon have three quilts to go to the quilter. I am also hoping to get out and do some photography since we have a break in the weather.
We got a quarter beef yesterday and took some of the meat to Bob also some leftover sausage that we really dont eat well. We will also be getting a half of pig soon too. It is cheaper for the fact that Denise husband perk at work and with only the two of them they cant eat that much pork, so we pay only processing fee.
MLK and I finished up math on the weekend, her last lesson was drawing solids so that wasnt so bad since of course we are talking drawing. We have been making her make more and more decisions. We are talking about going halves with her and a new car with our max being 500-600 dollars. We think a 1000 dollar car would be a good starter car. She has a 150 dollars saved up already. She is in a good place now having finished up her counseling and is on a medicine that she takes faithfully and feels good on and does well with. I feel like just in the last six months that everything has finally smoothed out some and we can go back to "normal" teenage stuff. Now to get the drivers liscence. Her and Dad thing NOT MINE!
Today in church we were back up in numbers and we went in town Dave fixed a machine and we got some supplies eat and hurried home. We have a Christian school meeting. It is more about hybrid school, a cross between public and homeschool. Should be interesting, proably not something we will use since we are so close to the end with both girls. We are also having a soup supper.

just hanging out
Well last night we all just hung out and it was so nice and relaxing. I ironed all my quilt blocks and getting ready to assemble them sometime this weekend. I have done both of them in stages, so they will both be finished at the same time. I have what is called a jelly roll and plan to do a strip block pattern next. I also hope to get out and take some pictures soon as it is warm enough to get my camera out again.
MDK is at Gma and we will pick her up on Monday. We have been saving up for the tax hit we will take. I like to be self employed except for the taxes. I am thinking that I also need to get my butt in gear and get a business tax number, but need to get someone's opinion on it.
We are very close to getting everything paid off, finished up St. Lukes hospital, have a little left at Cameron and a little left at Heartland. However we will proably have some more debt soon because Dave PSA is up so he has to get a prostrate biospy. Hopefully everything will come back okay on that.
Well better go.

the winter blues and sick
I was sick yesterday with something, ran a sub temp and had the chills, nasuea, didnt throw up which was good.
I have been starting to notice a real down shift in my mood and outlook, I usually hit a bump with my depression around March, so this is early, last year was really bad and had to have my meds adjusted. I try very hard in my life to deal with it and keep on going but it gets a bit much at time. I have dealt with this sucessfully most of the time since I was 21, I just get tired of dealing with it. I sometimes just want to crawl in bed for about a week and let the world go elsewhere. I know that this is not a good plan so I force myself out of bed and plod away. I wish I could will this away but that is unrealistic. I am going to give it a week or two and see if it turns around if not back to the doctor I go.
MDK is going to have her visit with Gma Viv finally now that she is better, Dave drops her off today and we get her on Monday. Two more weeks of interpreting and then we will see how many jobs I get as new interpreters have joined the force. Saving for taxes right now.
Dave has put in 49 hours already this week, and has three kiosks left to do. Whenever he takes a break he gets a bunch of work left for him. He is still not good but much much better than last week. He is still taking an antibodtic. Well better go.

sick
Well I finally came down with something, had the chills yesterday and felt really really urpy, decided that I should stay home today. Dave also felt rough yesterday. We just sat around in pj and watched TV. Hopefully I will be back up and at them tommorow. I have two more weeks of this maternity leave left.
I plan to take it really easy today, try to get better. MLK got her poem done and we got it entered looks really good! Hope she wins something again, you just never know. It would be a good boost for her. We have started some new subjects at half way mark. She is doing college planner and MDK is doing a drawing basic course, also some changes for both of them in their Lit. courses.
More later.

the perfect day
Yesterday went about as perfect as good be. I woke up from a good night's sleep, I got around got to work early, school went smooth and quick, came home, house was clean, both girls were in a great mood, we got all our school work done in three hours (they had some independent work they did earlier), no bumps there, went out with some friends for hot chocolate, came home watch TV with hubby and went to bed. It was just one of those days you long for, it was nice.
Today I plan to work with the girls on school, maybe sew, pick up house a little, then swim, MDK has chess boot camp this evening. Dave put in 11 hours yesterday, due to the fact the team didnt have his route done. He was not happy, he wondered why take vacation if you take a beating when you come back. I said because you were really sick, and he still needs to watch himself this week. It will be a long week for him.
Well better get off here and get around.

State of the Union 2010
Loved this idea my sister blogged so here it goes for us.
MDK is now fourteen and is very much the teenager. She loves makeup, clothes, and hair and anything in that vein. She loves loves to do puzzles, three hundred pieces puzzles are a breeze for her, she perfers 500-1000 piece puzzles, she listens to books on tape or music and sits and does them for hours. She is reading alot for fun something I thought she might never do. She is reading Love comes softly series right now. She loves the Inkheart series. She also loves chess and plays it on the computer daily, that and other stragety games. She is my crafty girl and loves to cook. She is an excellent domestic engineer. She is looking forward to getting her permit in April. She is invovled in our homeschool enrichment group, this semster she is taking, book discussion, choir, advanced theater, knitting, and advanced chess. She enjoyed volleyball and did well. She is also involved in Bible quizzing and is posed to be in regionals this year.
MLK is now seventeen and is starting to grow up quick. She is transforming into a more mature young lady daily. She loves to swim, and recently got her lifequard certificate. She feels as one with the water as she always has. She used to write all the time and was very good at it, but now she draws all the time, she is very talented. She is really good at people's faces. She reads alot to and loves to listen to books on tapes while she draws. She is cooking some, and she is much much better at stuff around the house. She has a photgraphic memory with most everything she reads, she however despises math even though she is very competent with it. She loves Science, just not Chemistry (too much math). She liked volleyball and she is also involved in Bible quiz. She is taking Social Dance, Choir and Crocheting this semster at enrichment classes. She is doing so much better ordering her life and responsiblities. She loves to play on the computer and piddle with her art most of all. She also loves her dog Louie.
Dave is always busy with his two jobs, and sometimes meets himself coming and going. We have both noticed that as we age we dont have as good as filter as we use to. Sometimes what we think just comes out our mouth, also noticing that he is getting the tinkering Kaster gene as we age. He bought a Wii for Christmas and is enjoying playing on it almost daily. He loves tech gadgets and computer stuff. He still likes to cook (yeah for me) He likes to listen to biographies on tape when he is on the road. He is growing weary of church people but continues to do what is right. He loves to hang out with me and do nothing.
Me well I am a busy homeschooling mother and wife. Those are the things I hold most dear. I enjoy reading and have made a concerted effort this year to read more. I like teaching my ladies class in church. I have started to learn to quilt and loving that. I have also been interpeting and plan to try to test again this summer for the next level. I still cross-stich and piddle with crafts. Still dont like to cook. Had lap-band surgery and am losing weight. Photography is my passion but it is too cold for my camera and me right now.
Well that is all for now.

I am definately an old lady
Well I have decided I am an old lady, I have been sewing on my quilts tonight, cut them out yesterday. Have all but the back done on Vivs, working on mine and Gma Henderson. After that I will make one for Dave and Karla and then I will move onto a new pattern. (,maybe a nine patch) Also I will hopefully be learning knitting and crocheting this semster, I am sitting in as supervisor, for a young and talented lady that is 18 and since there needs to be someone in there that is over 21 I am it and I will get to learn both things for free. So exiciting- she is also reading up on how to teach a left handed person:) I hope to learn to make granny squares I have always wanted to put togehter a granny square afghan.
MLK is sick, running a 101 degree tempature, pucking up and sleeping all day. Tommorow we are not having Sunday night services due to the cold. Monday we are to get up to a balmy 20 something wow watch out for the heat wave. Dave made chicken and noodles and MDK made bisciuts for supper. I had a biscuit and about four bites of the other. The biscuit was very yummy, I hadnt had a biscuit since before surgery. Dave and I got out to St. Joe as he had to do a run for an unlocked machine, we also took out the trash to church dumpster, stuff at church, and got the van out. I went to the library and got some more educational video, hoping that we are over sickness, but if I go down for the count we have something in the wings. Been doing a string of musicals with the girls, a new one we have not done is Guys and Dolls. Also plan to start a poetry section and got Dead Poet's Society. Well best get off here for now.

another one bites the dust
Well MLK just went down with the flu. We were going to get out today and catch the movie Sherlock Holmes but alas another one sick. I am surprised that we all have not got it, but it would not surprise me if that doesnt happen before long.
Dave is some better however sleep has been eluding him yesterday with all the steriods in his system. He is offically done taking them all today. He finally fell asleep last night. Hope he sleeps alot.
I hope to sew on my quilts today, we need to make bannana bread, and maybe a trip to the library if MLK is not too bad in the afternoon. Wait and see on that. Well better go!

the school of sickies
Well we are all feeling puny around here, between pnuemonia and the flu, what a week. They called off school today and a half day yesterday, I really doubt that I will work tommorow either. So what do we do when we are all sick or recovering. I call it school on the sly.
Yesterday, we watched two movies that were "schoolish". One was the musical Newsies, which we had never seen, and a couple of guys in MLK ensemble group did last semster. It was fantastic, it might go in order of favorites right after Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Then we did Lewis and Clark and the Corp of Discovery. We have left for today and tommorow- War of 1812, another Lewis and Clark, My Fair Lady, Sitting Bull, and Hitler Rise of Evil. I also am hoping to cut out my quilt and do some sewing. MLK has two contests (art and writing) to get ready for. We all decided not to do the science fair, as it seems that the person that runs it her kids always win, which is discouraging for my kiddos, oh well!!
Needless to say the "assigned" work is postponed to next week as you cant puke and do math at the same time. So far I have been untouched with the bug. Hope it stays that way. I think I will read while everyone else is asleep.

my crack at poetry
While I was swimming this came to me yesterday, here is my crack at poetry
Silent, still
it envelopes me, cradles me,
bubbles ascend
struggle, stroke, surface
silence returns
okay so it wont win any rewards, but it does calm my mind to swim. However my legs are hurting today :). Looks like we are going to get slammed again with a storm. However I am thinking that I will be out in the middle of it. I am waiting to see if they call it off or not.
I have been sleeping alot, maybe that is a way to not get sick at this house. MDK was pucking all day yesterday. MLK came home yesterday. Dave went to the doctor yesterday, she says he is slowly improving. Well I had better get around.

well here the storm comes again
It looks like we are going to have global warming here anytime now, NOT! The storm that was suppose to move in towards the end of the week, seems to have moved up, so I suspect I will not be getting MLK today. MDK woke up pucking today. So not good. I have an appointment for Dave at the doctors at 3. I am leaving to swim and then do enrichment class sign ups. MDK wont be able to bowl with friends today.
It looks a little iffy if I am going to be doing interpreting tommorow, it may cancel due to the storm or windchill. Watched I love lucy again last night, and did Geomtry and Spelling, the rest her and Dad did.

back to swimming
It has been a few weeks, mostly because of lack of oppurtunity, but I am headed in before my workshop to get some laps in. I have missed it, it seems to help settle me. Today I have a long workshop and errands to run. Tommorow I have sign up for enrichment classes.
Last night we made up a big old feast of turkey, taters, green bean casserole, it was yummy. We cleaned house and watch I love lucy eposides I got from the library. MDK thought they were a hoot. I am going to soapbox for a sec and sound really old. It is a shame that we can not have truely clean TV that is as funny as the I love lucy shows. Well over half the movies Dave puts in are yucky and not worth watching.
MDK starts school subject today, and she has a new course Drawing with Thomas Kinkade, it is a video based curriculum, she is dreading it, she says Mom I cant draw anything, so I say well good thing youre taking this course. I am going to work with her and see if I can improve too.
Well better get on the road, more later.

dave takes the week
Well Dave took the week off Redbox and the church, while we were finishing yesterday, he was having a hard time catching his breath, it seems to have gotten a tad better but no where were he needs to be. I am hoping he will sleep most of the week. He is also pushing alot of liquids. He hated to take vacation time so early in the year, but if he doesnt he will end up in the hospital.
Today I plan to clean house, and tommorow I have an interpreter workshop (free), to go to to get CEUs. It is snowing at a pretty good clip today. Both girls did well yesterday at Bible quiz, and Gma Viv got to see them both quiz out with perfect scores.
Tommorow evening MDK and I will start doing school stuff again, maybe a little tonight since I will be gone part of the day tommorow. Tuesday we have enrichment class sign up and Wed through Friday I work.
Well better get around for church.

biblical ideas for homes
okay why this post, well I talked to my friend Cathy and she and I were talking about the Quiverfull movement (ie Duggar family). So I have been reading for and agaisnt articles on the web about it. So let me explain about the quiverfull movement-it means no birth control have lots of kids, husband says jump you say how high. Now that might be the extreme side of it, but there is the other side where you divorce your husband and dive into everything pagan.
I think both sides missed the verse to work out your faith with fear and trembling. God doesnt call us to be brainless about our faith. Both sides of the above have extremes. I feel that God calls women to submit to men, and men to love their wives, however if one or the other is not doing their jobs then it will be lopsided. Dave and I both discuss things long and hard and then he makes a final decision, and he always takes the consquences for that decision. A two headed monster just doesnt work as Dave says. I have never had a decision in our marriage that I have felt was unfair or unjust why because he loves me.
As far as children, once again you have two sides to that too. Children obey, Fathers provoke not your kids to wrath. Both have to happen to make it work out right. Relationships are just hard. Give and take is the name of the game and it is as God has ordained. I do not feel that God gave anyone the right to "lord it over" someone else, he only gave us as parents or as the husband the right to guide. When "lording" happens then relationships break down. The same goes in church, with the submit to authority, and sheparding (not lording) over the flock. Interesting how many times with relationships God puts two sides of the coins.
Well today, the girls have Bible quiz, they have studied hard this week so hope they do well. Jonathan is going to step in for me and I am going to help Dave (still really sick) finish his route. Well all for now

being really quiet again
Well everyone is asleep, the girls had a lock in and had a good time. I had an upsetting situation yesterday, not going into alot of details, but basically it seems to me that pastor's wives should not have friends in their church. It always ends up bad, and I end up hurt. I can have alot of aquiantances but no true friends, things just have a tendency to go wrong. I may sound jaded there, but I am sooooo tired of being hurt time and time again with this type of situation. I will find friends outside of that circle otherwise it gets messy. I called Cathy (roommate from college) and we talked for two hours and I felt so much better afterwards.
I think Dave may have leveled out some not sure but he seemed a little better, tommorow is Bible quiz and MLK will go with Gma Viv after that. She has done well getting a good junk of her stuff done yesterday. MDK and I however are going to have a meeting of the minds. We are going to meet and she is going to mind. It is that "we hate sophmore phase" that all kids go through she is just a little early. Too big for her britches syndrome.
Have alot of little things to do around the house but will wait till this afternoon, that way everyone can get rested. Well more later.
