turning twenty

Wow my girl is coming right up on turning twenty,  it doesnt seem possible that I am that old!!!!!!!!!  Or as matter of fact is that she is that old either!!!!!  Where is she at 20, well she is half way almost to a BA degree, she has a part time job, her own car, some bills, her own schedule, and a boyfriend.  To think I got married at her age.... wow boy was I young (don't tell my parents that).  Really she has grown up a ton in the last year and it is good to see.  She does so well managing most of her stuff, she seems to have just turned another corner.

We got to meet Spencer (boyfriend) parents tonight, we all had fun at our house.  Missy and Spencer cooked us dinner at our house, well we visited, then we ate and played a board game, and then we all watched It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!  It was a nice and fun evening for all.  She seems to really like this boy... hmmm....

I am taking Meg and friends to see CATS tommorow it should be fun, I am really enjoying this weekend off!!!  Well better get off to bed.

a good review

I had a good review today at work it was a six month review at like eight months but it was good.  It is always good to know that you are doing okay at work.  Missy made it through mid terms she hasnt gotten her grades yet but should soon know the test she got back were 89 and 91 percent so she was pretty happy with that so far.

My good friend Steve sent me a Kindle he won at a drawing, said he wouldnt use it so I said I would love it, now I have to fiqure it out.   I can use it at work between calls if it is not wi-fi and our public library has things you can check out  for free so exicitied to see what type of selection they have. 

Hope to winterize this weekend and if we get a chainsaw get some trees down across the way.  I am ready to go home now getting tired but have a few more hours to go.

i love to take pictures

I have taken alot of pictures in the last few weeks and just in the last few days and remember how much I love taking pictures.  I get away from it but then I get a chance to do some more and just love love love it.  It is something that challenges me and relaxes me at the same time. 

This week is going to be jam packed, hoping to keep up with everything.   Putting in alot of hours and try to keep up on the basics seems to be all I get down right now.  I am however hoping to go see CATS with MDK soon.

dont drink caffinee too late

Wow this is going to be a very long day!!!!  I drank a soda to stay awake on the way home however I was bright eyed and bushy tailed way into the morning hours and now I have another long and late shift.  So it should be interesting to see if my brain can stay awake tonight.  Pretty decent day at work yesterday, enjoy it most of the time, occasionally you get a stinker but all in all not bad. 

MLK finished up her midterms so that should relief some of her stress well maybe after she sees her midterm grades so hopefully that goes well.  However she has a nice distraction,  his name is Spenser Good.  He is a really nice guy but I wont say much as she should be the one to talk about him.  However both Dave and I approve whole heartedly. 

Well better get off her and try to just rest big hairy day coming up.

off to the terp conference

Well I do a small job and then I am off to the terp conference for the weekend.  Hope to run into some of my fellow terps I havent seen in awhile.  It will be a nice time to catch up with them.  I was able to watch the vp debates this morning, and what a hoot.  The body language was quite a sight to behold.  I dont put alot of stock in what the vp have to say as they have what one of our former US vp said is that the vp position is not worth much more than a bucket of warm spit.  Anyway I am trying to watch all the different debates.  I know who I am voting agaisnt however I wish I could vote FOR someone.  This will be Missy first president to vote for, I remember I voted absentee my first president canditate George H Bush.  Way back in the day :)

Got all the salsa done, got the house mostly picked up, and things are shoved in the right direction, we got a new tiger gray stripped kitten to keep Mr Tibbs company, we are keeping them seperated till the kitten gets a little bigger.  It will need to be loved on and tamed a tad more.  Well better get off here and get to Walmart got to get toothpaste for the trip.  Adois!

creating new friendships in my old age

So I have come to a stage of life where I have a little bit of time for myself, so first I have pursued some of my hobbies, now I am able to hang out with friends and redevolop or start new friendships that I have put off for many years.  I really enjoy this ability.

My girls are going with some friends down to the Rensiance Festival tommorow I hope they dont freeze, it has turned cold fast.  I am looking forward to getting into a warm bed later tonight.  Well better go
