i did it

I saw the doctor today and weighed in and was done twenty eight and half pounds, so was very happy about that. I am very tired today, so I will keep this short but plan to blog soon and post pictures.

a graceful move

Well MLK has always been known for her clumsy moves, but this one tops it all. She is sitting at the computer in the old chair, and the bolt breaks, she goes backwards, hits her head on the table, her feet go up ripping the desk computer tray out and she is now on the floor with her feet up in the air, after we made sure she was okay we laughed our butts off. I quess you needed to be here to see it.

Yesterday we got alot of errands done and schoolwork, finished the lawn, new battery in the truck. It was good to get a bunch of little things off the agenda. Today we swim and do enrichment classes. Tommorow and Thursday I have small jobs. Glad to be able to catch up and have a breath.

Well better get around and get the bills mailed.

crazy week

Well almost finished the week, what a week, lots and lots of interpreting, we have done well keeping up with the assignments, however my house looks like a tornado hit it!! Lots of interpreting, classes, volleyball, and just regular school stuff makes for a very busy mom. Hopefully this weekend I can dig out from the mess, MLK has her ACT this weekend. She sees the counselor tonight. MLK had an art lesson last night, wow she is getting so good, she finally is letting someone mold her. It has made her skill jump up alot. She not sure now if she wants to do art or writing in college, I think a major in writing and an minor in art might be good. We will see.

MDK has been beating the boys in chess at classes, she looks very girly and kind, NOT! She loves the competativness of it and enjoy s being able to pounce on the boys and win. They are both in choir and MLK is in ensemble, they are doing putting on the ritz, and she is doing a solo from the broadway cinderella. MDK is doing theatre and they will be doing a scence from Annie. It will be so cool.

Field trip day

We had an awesome day yesterday! The pirate got my girls and the wenches took off with my husband. We went to the Renissance Festival yesterday with friends and had a good time, got tired went towards home stopped for ice cream and then the girls all watched wolverine the movie before they went on home. They all had a blast. Today we will swim, do geometry and half the subjects and then homeschool enrichment classes and then I have an interpreting job (last minute thing filling in for other interpreter). So anyway that is what is up with me today, and I so enjoyed yesterday. More later, onto Geometry.

the weekend

Well yesterday we went to KC in the morning we forgot to order SS material so went to the store in KC, it was a nice time to talk and reconnect, the girls slept in since they both have not felt the best. When we got home we had what we call the day of reckoning, that is we go over assignments and stuff and then I write down assignments for next week, they fared okay, but are still dragging from taking a vacation, another week and we will have good rhythm. I am amazed at how well MDK is doing with her work, she has taken another huge jump forward, her spelling has improved her vocabulary is great, she used the word expungsed (spelling ?) correctly last night. MLK is also doing well and enjoying (kinda) Geometry. She says it makes sense to her. I so get that, Algebra was also a great mystery to me, but Geometry yeah it made sense. They are both doing really well in volleyball, they have refined their bump and set, their serves are still so so but improving. They have a report to finish and a little bit of stuff to do this afternoon, not bad for the crazy week we had.

I made 600 dollars last week in interpreting, that will go towards the van and taxes. I have alot of taxes to pay this year so I need to get to doing that. I have been swimming at the Y alot, I have done a 1/2 mile of swimming last week, that is alot for me. I am however at a standstill on the weight even though I am seeing a change in how my clothes fit. I dont know what is up with that. I quess gaining muscle I dont know. It is my pattern however, had my haircut yesterday so that could be a pound there easily :) I have so much thick hair!! Today is t-shirt Sunday and the last sunday night off till next May, Awana starts next week. I enjoy the downtime for the family. We have been watching a new series called Bones. Dave is loving it, he does so few things for himself so it is nice to see him have something he enjoys. MDK went to Rock the Light and had a blast with her BFF Pai.... They needed that time together, so glad it happened. She is much better spirits. So far the Lord has not opened any doors to anywhere else so serving her till He decides we need somewhere else. The house will be our focus today and tommorow, and yes the girls have school tommorow, when all the other kids are off, they are boo hooing, but I remind them they have days off and other people dont. Well gotta go!

swimming

Swimming centers me. I got a membership at the YMCA since the local pool is closed for the season. I did 7 laps that is 3,500 meters. Not alot for some but alot for the fat middle aged women, my muscles were sore. I interpreted all day yesterday after the swim, and then did school when i got home, I m not sure if I feel asleep as I hit the pillow or if I did it on the way into the bed.

The girls have vball and I have a job and we have downtime so will be doing school at the library going to the Y to swim and before my work so will be busy today. One more full day of interpreting and then school afterwords and then it is the weekend. Next week is full too. It is good money but it takes alot of work to get it all done and the girls want to be on vacation still. They are getting back in the swing however, with much consertantion on my part.
