This morning is very quiet I can hear birds sing and the fan blowing, but all is still in my house. Yesterday was a nice lull for us. We got caught up on a few small things.
I got all the grades in up to yesterday for both girs and calculated their hours. MDK has 811 hours and MLK has 755 hours. So we have April May and June to get to 1000 hours. We are about 15-20 lessons from finishing their Math book, MDK has finished her Science book, MLK has two chapters to finish with Science. MLK and I did her Science experiments yesterday, tums and toliet bowl cleaner, and purple cabbage water, and the other one was baking soda instead of tums. Very fun and pretty easy to do. She is doing a brief overview of body systems, and this was to do with stomach acid. MDK is doing a great big report on Leonardo Da Vinci and then she will go onto New World Explorers. The report should be challenging as writing is her weakest area. MLK is now into WW2 in her history book so she is getting closer to the end, she however has one full book left. Next year MDK will start through that series of books.
Well better go for now. It was nice to have a down day.

we will miss him
Carl McCrea went home to the Lord yesterday. He was a faithful, sweet old man and a great encourager. It has hit Dave and I a little hard as he was a constant presence of encouragement. He has been a blessing for us.
There has been a fever pitch of negativity and I feel that behind it is the ringmaster. I have another pastors wife at work, and she said just pray that God take care of it. Over and over again in scripture God says dont mess with my annointed, ground opens up and sallows people agaisnt Moses, bears eat people that poked at Elijah, etc. Now Dave is neither of those two guys but he is called by God to preach. I fear for them that continue as I see God's fuse with their behavior very short. However prayers that we continue and be faithful are much needed.
Well better get off and go to work.

spring
Boy would I like the day off nice breeze coming in birds singing, etc. They have a tendency to frown on it.
We discussed things with the girls yesterday and bought notebooks, we will not leave list of homework and chores we will have them write the list when we meet, therfore taking ownership of what their responsiblities are. I think this will work, as they need to learn this life skill anyway. They have a tendency to want to pull a tug of war with everything. Nothing extremly rebellious just nudge push you know the drill. Now they must recogonize what needs done with my help and be responsible. I quess our main goal is internal motaviation instead of external.
Getting close to the end of Math, yeah, they are both now in the 100s in the Math book one goes to 125 the older to 135. Should be two to three weeks and they will be finished!
Well need to get around and go. Blog more later.

death and taxes
Death and taxes is that an either or question? Yesterday we were suppose to get our taxes done but it didnt happen due to a family emergency on our tax payers account. So I got up at 6:30 this morning and started in. It is now almost 3 pm. but I think that I have finally have finished it all and I think it is right. I trust the IRS to let me know if I got it wrong. Made a mistake and tried to print out all the instructions it ended up being alot of pages and ran it out of black ink. Hopefully it is done and behind us.
A beautiful day today it seems like a really nice breeze.

What a week, Mom and Dad were down and that was nice. Mom helped me out around the house and went to enrichment classes with me and the girls. We have had a lot of people in the hospital all over. Dad put up trim all over the church and it looks goooood! Makes a big difference. I am looking forward to a down day dont know if that will happen soon or not.
Some restructing happening at work it may solve some of my problems. Well gotta to go, getting taxes done today.

we almost had an accident
Last night Dave and I helped out on the youth activity, it was good and uplifting but tiring. We left the skating ring in our van and Dave got disoriented with the street we ended up going the wrong way on the street (2 lane) then discovering that turned across traffic and almost got hit. There was a police sitting there and he pulled us over. For some odd reason the cop said he would only give Dave a warning. Dave was very distraught about this all as he felt horrible that he could have had us all hurt.
This unknown disease seems to sometimes almost get Dave down. We went to the doctor about peridizone and that is a no go because of bad side effects. It was the first Dave had felt somewhat normal the whole time he has had problems. One of the newest sympthom is blurry vision. It comes and goes all of it right now, the numbness in the left leg and a tad loss of mobility there usually stays around ninety percent of the time.
We were talking yesterday, that for some reason God has allowed this in our life, it has been a year of asking for help, we have always given help but not been comfortable the other way around. It is rough sometimes to be the reciever.
Tonight I have deaf club and am not looking forward to it, I am not sure why I quess I just perfer being at home.
Sorry if this sounds depressing just reflecting and writing.

ahh I am home
Ahh I am home yeah, dont go back to work till Deaf Club on Sat night. The girls did a good job this afternoon, Dad gave them the "whato to" and it seems to have worked. Dr. James Dobson calls that Dad power.
Dave will go to the doctor tommorow, talk about peridizone as it seemed to be a good side effect from his asthma bout, the peridizone seems to help out with the other effects of whatever he had. Yesterday for the first time he had blurry vision.
Folding laundry, sitting in my recliner, just sitting and relaxing.

rough day for Dave
Yesterday was a really rough day for Dave, he was having fuzzy eyesight, both legs were giving him trouble, he was exhausted, he kept falling asleep. He was not in a good humor about it either.
I was somewhat of a grump last night too, due to daylight savings time, it has really got my sleeping patterns all messed up.
MDK was outside with the neighbor kids flying a kite, having a blast when I came home from work last night.
Well more later.

night sweats
Night sweats are for the birds! I dont have them constantly but when I do yuck!
Yesterday was a rather full day, with laundry dishes and enrichment classes. Monday we had Danny and Dorothy down and that was a blast and a good refresher for our spirits. God always sends encouragement when you need it the most.
Daves left leg has been giving him problems lately, it kinda has that dropsey condition to it. He has been hitting the sleep a little harder, but his lookout has remained good.
MDK was learning the cha cha yesterday and having a blast. She also really enjoys her food class. We are reading Chinese fairy tales right now and they are just a little weird. Thinking about reading Jumanji as she loves that movie and keeps checking it out at the library.
MLK and I are still having go arounds, she is going to age me we have really good day s and really not so good days, she is definately a teenager. She is a great kid, just has to have her attiude adjusted on occasion. She is reading the Invisible Man by HG Wells. She is enjoying her creative writing class and her cartooning class, she however finds it hard to draw guys, her girls look great but she says her guys look really wimpy.
I have to go back to work today, which is okay but enjoyed the extended stay here at home, maybe someday I can be at home all the time.

slept hard
I slept really hard last night, we were watching Joan of Arc, which was a good but long movie but I didnt get it finished I was too tired. Plan to finish it tonight. Been getting movies about the Middle Ages to supplement MDK's history. MLK is studying the period of Rockfellar and the oil barons and they dont make alot of movies of that time period, but she will soon be onto WW1 and WW2 and then there are a million movies.
Yesterday work was peaceful, Jean , a wonderful and very skilled interpreter heard me voice over the phone and told me that I need to go take the test again. She felt I am ready to try to go to a level 4. So I think I will try but will not stress about it just go do it. Going to see if work will pay for it.
The girls are doing well with their school work, our hours are holding steady we are a tad behind about 20 hours due to illness but that will be easy to catch up on. April 20 and 21 we are planning on going to Homeschool conference, and the end of the month we will be going to a ministers retreat. The church is almost done, even though there will also be little things. It is hard for people to focus on both finishing the building and bringing people in at the same time. The physical task can sometimes overwhelm the spirtual task. However Dave tries to get all to have the right perspective and once the physical tasks are done the other will follow with all. We are also focusing on how can we pay this off in 3-5 years, at the longest 10. We lock in our loan on March 15 for the church.
Well better get around.

slowly getting around
I am up and at them but slowly getting around.
Yesterday was the first day of enrichment classes. MDK loves her Social Dance class, they learned Swing yesterday, she catches on fast. She was upset however because her partner got sick and had to go to the bathroom so she couldnt do the final dance.
She also had fun with food, which has a theme each week, this week was insects, so they made ladybugs, crackers and butterflies, very cute snacks. Next week they go to the ocean. She is also doing quilting, which she enjoys.
MLK was overjoyed to be in a writing class again, she is a writing fool. The cartooning was basically intro so she is not sure if she will like it or not. Then she has my class Photography which she loves! :)
It feeling a little like spring around here, yeah, but oh the mud due to all the construction!
My car has been leaking a little bit of transmission fluid I think a seal is going bad. Money is tight, so hope it holds off for a time.

stomaches and painting
Well I havent been faithful to my blogging, I need to get better about this.
Church had 157 people yesterday, and the spirit was sweet until business meeting, when Dave about blew a gasket, he is very tired of a very small but very loud group of "poker and discouragers". However most people are faithful to do and give beyond what they should and the Lord is blessing. Everett has been our greatest source of encouragement due to his silent but wonderful spirit of work and coorperation.
MLK seems to be getting sick, she had a stomach ache and was very pale last night. MDK has been helping out around the church alot, she stayed and stained the window sills at the church with the Boucher family and then she cleaned up the mud the little girls got all over the church and then she helped Dad prime last night. She has a great spirit and the gift of helps.
I have to head to work in just a little bit. The weather is suppose to get warmer so I am looking forward to that!

home at last
What a nasty day, the wind was horrid, which is not good when you decide to wear a full skirt today. I had to about tie it down to my legs just to stay decent.
MLK is off visiting Grandma Viv for a few days, just a break from the routine, she will be back tommorow or early Saturday as she has her last Bible quiz on Sat.
MDK is here and sorting laundry I rarely pay my kids for any chores done but I am not beyond bribery, the laundry is way beyond help so I am giving her a dollar a load.
I am so ready for Spring, MDK and I are going to start collecting wildflowers when they start blooming.
Well enough sprodatic blogging for now
