an update

Well the termite guy came to the house today and it went well, nothing found there.  Larry went thru and found four small things.  One corner of the roof had possible had hail damage the rest was good, so one small corner will need to be fixed, there was no CSGI outlets in kitchen and orginal bathroom, a vapor sheeting has to be laid in the crawlspace and there is a hole in the crawlspace where an old furnace set that had some water in it and will need to be filled with sand or have a sup pump installed.  I think this will all be fine with the seller.  The last hoop is for the apprisal to come in or they use the three week old one done by the same person they have on their rotation of apprisors.  So big prayers for this last hoop.

Tonight we are at Denise's, Viv and Dave and Gma Henderson are done, going to take them by the house and they are fiddling with the hair for the girls prom tommorow night.  We are slowly getting all the subjects done so that will be behind us soon.  Well better go!

letting them sleep in

Everyone seems to be tired and exhausted, I even slept till 7:30 which is amazing since I didnt take any Tylenol PM.  I have been rather anxious of late, waiting and hoping nothing falls through on the loan process and approval of the house.  I have also been doing alot of hours of interpreting, hoping to sock a little away.  Tommorow a whole bunch of people go through the house and then we will have a better idea if there will be any hiccups.  Pray hard, I could really use some smooth sailing.

We are hitting the books hard and elementing subjects we would like to get this done asap, with all the crazy of life that is going on.  Bought a really nice entertainment center for fifty bucks yesterday at DAV.  Trying to catch a few bargins here and there.  Our other entertainment center was woobly, and we got rid of it.  Well better get off here and get around for another day.

well well well

So many things rumbling around in my head this morning, all my jobs for the rest of the week got canceled but that is okay because I have done a long haul of jobs and have a slew of them in May and some even scheduled for June.  Plan to focus hard on getting the girls schooling done in the next few weeks.  I came home last night and they had done a lackluster job on finishing some of their science homework so we sat down and did Math and finished Science.  Then we had a family night, we played Rook and Dave and MDK won but we MLK and I were a close second.  We listened to old songs over the internet and just had a good time.

Dave is feeling odd not being the pastor anymore, but also a sense of relief.  Pray that this adjustment goes okay for all of us.  Also pray over the house, we have inspections left to do and we hope that this will all go well.  Hope to do some painting and packing this week.  Well better get around for the day, the girls have a choir outing fun day today at 4.

contracts and schoolwork

Well we signed a contract yesterday and the other family signed a contract on another house so we have commited to this place.  We are both exicitied and nervous hoping USDA will not make any fuss and this will be done.  We have a closing date of June 10 with a move date of June 30.  They will move out quicker if their contract and all gets done and we can then move in, but they really didnt want to move their stuff twice and we understand that also.  They seem to be a nice Christian couple and I feel we will get a fair shake on this.

I took a tylenol PM last night so I slept well, I have been having so many wakeups of late due to all this craziness.  However I feel a little less stressed than before now that we are moving forward.  We took a chunk of yesterday doing all that so the girls and I are doing school today.  We are slaying the subjects (means we are getting them done for the year). Only 15 more math lessons left, yahoo!  Bible Doctrines for both girls are done today and we are systematically putting the subjects away.  This is usually how it gets around April.  We start picking off the subjects.  Well better get around some more Math awaits with MDK.

prayer and contracts

Well today we go and sign a contract for the house, this is still all contingent on the loan people being okay with the house.  So please pray for that.  I am up in the middle of the night again.  I am really thinking I will not sleep again untill we are moved and settled.  That looks to be hopefully June 10.  I am exicitied and scarced as I feel like I am holding my breath hoping everything will go alright.  Just pray for the termite inspection and the walk through by USDA to do okay.  I will blog more later tonight or tommorow.

well maybe this one

Went and toured a house in Clarksdale, we are moving forward on this one, it is a really nice ranch style house with enough room a garage, fenced in yard and ground across the road that belongs to it also.  It also has a small machine shed and is landscaped very nicely.  Take a look here is the link http://www.aokhometours.com/TourHomeDetails.asp?AOKID=1031425

I am just a big ball of nerves with everything, taking on extra work, trying to finish the school year, packing, sorting fixing, searching, trying to get done by the end of April, so we can get a tax credit.  Well better get to bed sometime tonight.

cant sleep

I am anxious this morning, I have a very full day, Dave is going to take on the girls today.  I have dentist appt for the girls and then I have two jobs in St. Joe and a dual credit meeting at MWSU.  I am so ready to be on to the next phase of getting us moved.  Please pray hard that the loan will move a little quicker.  I also need to get back to packing more now that I have boxes again.  I also want to get this house primed but I think it will be easier once things are out of here.  Please pray hard that we get the loan also.

I have gotten up and paid bills and ordered some pics I missed. Uploading some other pics just to get prints.  I think I will just cruise the net till I get sleepy again.  Pray for the loan!

cleaned out the garage

Cleaned out the garage and took down a dead tree with the help of Denise and Daves dad, then we had a cookout at Denise's house.  It was nice time, though we are all sore, we burned old carpet and took care of so much junk in the garage.  It was a beautiful day to get it all done.

My house is driving me crazy cant seem to keep it clean with all the boxes and such.  I quess it will be this way for a while.  Waiting impatiently to hear about the loan.  Dave has another deacons meeting tonight because of things that are going on to cause trouble in the church even before we leave.  Well better let you go and get around for church.

proud momma and car concerns

Well I will start with car concerns, the blue car-head gasket is leaking and spedometer died. Truck-exhaust pipe come loose from the muffler system. Van- check engine light on it is an emmission sensor gone bad.  Just not the right time for these expenses to come up.

Now on to the good stuff.  Last night was the grand finale it was awesome!  The girls did so well MDK had a big part in her scence from Seven Brides she played Millie, she even got a stage kiss!  MLK was in the choir.  She really enjoyed the dance class and was one of the best ones in it.  She learned all types of moves, from foxtrot, single twinkle, the basic box, swing, etc.  They have a few more fun activities coming up and then it is all done for this year.  Well I will post the pics and then get around for my job today and fixing vehicles.

up early

Well yesterday was packed full but today will be worse.  Dave and I went and took batteries back for money yesterday and then we packed up his church office, there are only a few pictures left to do over there.  I have some more places that I can pack but I will soon be done with what I can pack for the time being.

I had an interpreter meeting last night that I went to and then came home and chilled out.  Today is a big day, I have two jobs this morning and then I have enrichment classes and then we have grand finale and classes are done for this school year.  At home we are getting to the end of subjects and dropping them off one by one.

I have been crocheting alot of granny squares hoping to start assembling a throw soon.  Well off for now.

i just didnt feel like it

This weekend has been interesting.  Church yesterday was odd, most people want me to comfort them about us moving, I have tried to be good about it and I wasnt rude at all.  I know they are hurting, but I just feel a tad overwhelmed by all the work and my own family needs that I just wasnt ready for all of it.  Dave let me skip AWANA last night, and I just packed some boxes.

Heard from MDK last night, she won three, lost three, and had a draw.  Not bad for her first time going.  She thinks that her team placed in the top ten.  That will be so cool for her!!!

We are waiting very impatiently for the loan paperwork to go through.  I am in hope that this will happen quickly, the quicker we move the quicker things will heal for all of us..  It feels like when you have a band aid and you can rip it off fast or rip it off slowly.  We are leaving on good terms but it is still hard for all involved.

I have four jobs this week so that should help the budget.  Well better go for now.

random thoughts

Well I have had a lot of time to think in the past two days, and this change of life is going to be good in so many ways, but a era of our life is changing.  This gives me pause, I should embrace change but as you age it is harder because you know every change means you are closer to the finish line of life.  I am looking forward to not hearing from certain people how wonderful we were and how we cant be replaced when they have gossiped about us for ten years!

MDK has been to the Mall of America and rode the roller coaster and walked around for four hours, she has won two of her matches and lost one and was playing another when we called hope to hear from her tonight.  She sounds like she was having a wonderful time.

MLK took her ACT today, so hopefully she did well.  I had a shower at the church and then we went and looked at housese again.  The one we like on gospel is still our favorite.

Well going to kick back tonight,  I got alot done on Friday cleaning the basement and packing, I look like I live in a box city.  Well better go!

74 lbs gone

Wow after my stall out for two weeks then they just slide off.  This has always been my pattern, my body holds for a week or two and then takes a nose dive and I lose a bunch and then I will hit a plateu again.  I had a joyous moment yesterday at the prison.  When I get checked out of the double air lock at the prison, they take my badge and give me back my drivers liscence.  I have lost all this weight and now have glasses and I hear the two in the office saying where is her drivers liscence, thats not it, yes it is.  That was kinda cool!

Heard from MDK last night, go there safely, spent four hours at the mall of America and went on the roller coaster, I will be exicitied to hear how she does today at her games.  She was talking a mile a minute so she seemed to be having a great time.

Today I hope to pack boxes again, got the lawn mowed so just need to do a little pushing and the weedeating.  Well better get around, downstairs I go to pack some more stuff.

72 pounds gone

Well I weighed yesterday and I am now at 72 lbs.  Yahoo!!!!  That was a great boost to see that.  Yesterday all day was spent looking at houses, nothing really sparked our interest as much as the house on gospel road but we are continuing to look as it is important to keep an open mind, there are a few positive things we have heard about the other place.

Today MDK leaves for her chess tournament, and will be gone till Monday, I will miss my baby but I know she will have a blast.  This Sat.  MLK has ACT test in Cameron and then a youth activity that night.  I plan to work with MLK today with schoolwork and just pack alot of stuff. Well better go and get around.

my baby is 15!

Well MDK is 15 today, wow how time flies I never thought they would get this old this fast.  She had a good day with Olive Garden and family and birthday cake.  She also made cupcakes for her acting class and she is now packing for her big trip.  She is so exicitied and ready to go north.  We will try to get some more work out of her tommorow but she is so giddy I dont know how that will go.  Tommorow at 10 we look at houses again.

I am pretty tired tonight but wanted to say what a proud momma I am of my baby girl!

granny squares

Well today Dave and I went out for three hours looking at some places, another was a decent place,  they are working hard on it at USDA and all my paperwork is in.  We are hoping that everything will go well there.  Well on the road I worked on the granny squares, I now have it done to an art form.  They seem to soothe my nerves.

MLK and MDK seem to be feeling alot and we started back doing some school today, both really worn out from the yuck.  Now Dave has it, so we got refills on different meds that we had refills on so that he could avoid the doctors office, that and Mucinex D.  Dave and I also worked on packing and cleaning our room.

Well I will write more later about the birthday girl.

I am stressing everybody out

I am officially stressing everybody out.  The house we really liked has one big problem it has a septic tank on the other person land and that guy wants to buy the house.  Ugh, we have looked up some other properties around and will proably drive by them and see them today.  I was just a mess yesterday, I think everything just hit at once.  My house has that funky look of boxes and I feel like I am stuck in limbo.  I just want to get out of the parsonage asap.  I know that sounds wierd but I really really want to be in our place.

I hope to get something done rather than running around like a chicken with my head cut off.  Well better go for now.

looking at houses, birthday party, and boxing things up

Well I have 6 girls asleep here (finally)!  They all seemed to have a great time.  They had an italian meal last night-lasgana, salad with olive garden dressing, garlic bread, and then a snickers cake, and sparkling grape juice in the fancy glasses.  They all went to Good Friday services and then they partied till about 2:30 when I put the clamp down on them.  They watched about three movies and talked boys and stuff all night.

Today we look at three houses, the one in the country has appeal to us, but now we wait on the loan.  We will see what we think.  One at 9 this morning and two this afternoon at 2.

I am hoping to pack again today, as I have not gotten to do much the other two days, Thursday I interpreted all day and cleaned, did pack two boxes.  Then yesterday was Good Friday services and birthday party.  MLK went to junior day at MWSU.  She thinks it would be a good secondary plan if the first plan doesnt work out.(college of the ozarks).

Well better work on senior pictures I have one I need to finish this weekend.  Then I will need to advertise towards the end of school in both Maysville and Tri County paper for seniors.  Well adois!!

busy and sick

Well busy is what I have been, sick is what the rest of the family has been doing.  MDK is still feeling pretty crudy, MLK is feeling dragged out from it and Dave is getting it.  I on the other hand am superwoman (HA).  I had two jobs yesterday, and I came home looked at houses and called on paperwork and  packed two more boxes, and sorted through all the clothes in my drawers, getting rid of a bag of too big clothes.  Today is MDK birthday party and she is exicitied about it even though she feels crudy, she is some better.

Looking at another house in the country it is a ranch style house on about an acre, it looks in pretty good shape. Larry is working to see if we can get into it.  It is around 60 thousand.  Les is helping us but pressure on the people with the USDA loan, so that is helpful too.  This new one is in the Union Star school District, it has a windmill in the front yard and a windmill in the backyard.  It is smack dab in the line of windmills that have been recently built.

Today we go to MO Western junior days.  So I will be dropping MLK off and then I will have some down time, must go by the SS office as I need to get a replacement for my lost SS card.  Well better get off here and get in the shower.

This is a blog to share with family and friends.A recording of our everyday happening, a modern day diary.
