wonderful Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving time this year with all the dinners spread out and everyone was in a fantstic mood.  Also got those Christmas crafts done which was good.  Thanks to all the glittery folks out there.  Sunday services were awesome. We went to town and got our groceries, ate and got errands ran.  Came back did Awanas and then came home. 

Tonight we are going to try to get the Christmas tree up, I am back to interpreting and have a long Dec. stretch without too many breaks.  MLK has lifeguard classes this week so it will be a busy week.  The dogs are home and they are loving it, they woozled and woozled us last night. 

Well better get around for now.

trying to get out the door

Well I am blogging right now because I am packed and ready to go.  However Dave and MLK are grumpy and cant find jeans and socks, etc.  I just stay out of the way, the more I do the worst it gets so I plop myself down and just wait. 

Dave is rightfully tired and grumpy, it has been a long week of trying to get it all done in three days.  However it could be a long ride back to Iowa.  I am going to hope for the best however.  Hoping the family will join in and do the Christmas crafts.

Looking forward to being home for three days, well must go!!

wound tight

Today I woke wound up tight, it is a wierd feeling to wake up worried and anxious, the odd thing is I am not sure why.  Maybe I feel like all this needs to be done before we go on break. 

Sat down with the girls yesterday and plotted out where we were in Science and Math and how many lessons we need to get done.  We seem to be right on track, but I always feel like I am behind.  I am not behind, but maybe it is my natural way of keeping us from getting behind.  Chemistry has been a real burger with the balancing of equations and such.  Be glad for her to get past that section.  We have an art lesson this morning.  Then we will not have anymore till after the first of the year.  I am hoping that she can also take an art course next year at Missouri Western. 

Plan to swim today, also have two math lessons to get done before Thursday. One history movie to watch and a few odds and ends.  Plan to swim today and the girls are going to a movie that I they are paying for that I promised them.   

Dave is trying hard to get all the redbox movies done today and tommorow.  Need to call the border and see if I can board the dogs.  Well better get around for now.

sick

I was sick yesterday, still not feeling too hot today.  I only have today to interpret so I am going since I dont have a fever, took antibodtics left over from Dave's tooth.  Feel weak but not sick to my stomach like yesterday. 

This week will be finishing off debate, math, and leftovers just plan to do school today and tommorow.  Also going to watch a biography about Ben Franklin.

Dave got me a new office chair, since the old one broke about two months ago.  I have to send my CEUS off soon.  Well better go for now.    

trying to get sick

Well I have been feeling rough yesterday and today, the kid I interpret for has coughed on me most all week .  I took a long nap and drank alot of orange juice, and took a left over antiboditic.  Hopefully I can cut it off at the pass.  This coming week I only interpret on Monday. 

Got quilts done yesterday and dropped off, it looks like I will get them back the first of December.  Need to do Christmas shopping, just not in the mood yet.  Plan to put the trip up after the break.  Got the living room done yesterday and 7 loads of laundry folded, and the bathroom despite feeling awful. 

Plan to do my Christmas crafts later on, boy I just keep postponing and postponing,  well best get off and finish off my Sunday school lesson.

She passed!

She passed, MLK passed her pretest to go to lifeguard classes.  She said it was hard but she said I wasnt going to quit I am too stuborn for that.  She was exhausted and emotional afterwards, but she made it.  She is going to have a change in her schedule during the two week stint she has to do swimming.  She will have PE boot camp, debate, and math.  Chemistry and everything else will be put on hold as the classes will be quite rigrious.  She is doing well with her classes.  They both are, debate has been a real challenge for them as they both do all the research, writing, and speaking  for a large topic every week.  They had their first mock debate last night, they both did well.  They learned where they need to improve and both got over the fear of speaking in front of people.  Dave was able to come with and we went to IHOP afterwards. 

Today I am going to a friends house and finishing quilts, the girls are going on a youth group trip.  Dave is working at the church.  I only interpret Monday of this next week.

I slept alot

Went to bed last night at 9 and slept so hard. I am amazed that I am still not completely back to full energy. I am so impatient I quess.

MLK went hog wild and got five loads of laundry done yesterday, so I have five loads to fold. Didnt get that done last night. Tonight is debate so it will be a late night. I will also swim, been trying to walk on lunch hour at school also.

Looking forward to the weekend, hopefully I dont need to go on the youth group trip with them. Well best go!

my brain turned to mush

Yesterday we worked and worked on schoolwork, and we got a ton of it done,  we got some things caught up and it was a very productive day, however after 2 lessons of geometry and teaching how to do decompostion balancing of equations, my brain ran out of my ear. 

MLK counselor released her from counseling, she is done unless she feels she needs to go in.  She seems to have turned a corner and with this new medicine it is working really well.  She is doing well with everything. 

MDK baked cookies well we were gone, snickerdoodles, I had one or I should say half of one due to the fact the dog begged the other half off of me one small bite at a time. 

Went swimming after MLK counseling appt, it was challanging and relaxing, I am still working to get back up to 10 but was tired at 8 laps and felt I shouldnt push it. 

Well must get around and get in the shower, off to interpret!

the bathroom almost done

Dave and MDK worked on the bathroom yesterday and it is really close to being done.  It looks so cute.  Dave plans to finish it tonight.  It will be nice to have it back in order and not in my living room. 

I was a bum yesterday I think that is what I needed.  I was very exhausted Friday night.  Took MLK to the doctor thought she had strep but she didnt just a nasty sinus infection. 

Not much else is happening around here and I am enjoying the down time.  Well better get around for church.

the new schedule

Well I started the maternity leave I will be covering, so we now have a new schedule for our school.  The girls are home doing chores and their independent work while I interpret then we start on school at 3 and go till about 7 or 8.  Last night it was a little later because they both had to finish a BIG paper for debate tonight.  We will also have a huge Tuesday now that enrichment classes are done and that is my off day.  They both did so good on their papers for debate esp. MDK.  Writing is not her fortay, and she is a slow typist (one of her classes this year is typing) but she did awesome.  This a rough draft and tonight at debate they will go through and poke holes in their arguments and have to refine them.  I am glad that we are doing this as they take notes, learn research and doing papers, and speaking in front of an audience.  Plan to get in swimming and debate tonight and finish off chemistry and geometry Sat. morning.

Chemistry is a real burger for MLK, she believes Science should not have Math, it ruins it as she says.  She has two chps full of math and then it gets back to atom structure and stuff and she is looking forward to that, she loves science concepts hates the math. 

Plan for both girls to take the ACT in the spring, MLK got a 22 but would like to get a 25 this next time. MDK will take it cold so I can have a baseline for it. 

Dave has had a rather busy week with lots of people in the hospital, hopefully for him he gets his route done today, he wants to finish the bathroom and I am all for that.  I am also refinishing a table hopefully on Sat.  This is the first Sat we are not going anywhere. Yeah!

Well need to get around.

I earn it they spend it

Well yesterday I made quite a bit of money interpreting and while I was there the family hit the 75% sale at JcPenny they did a really good job finding stuff but I think they spent most of what I made.

I swam six laps yesterday and interp for 3 and half hours yesterday so I was tired when I got home and fell asleep early but now I am up in the middle of the night.  Dave got the bathroom painted now he has to install the border and put up hardware and it should be done.  I have a table to refinish so some of our projects are coming along.

Tommorow or should I say today is the Grand Finale hopefully I will get some good pictures for you.  I am exicited for the girls they work hard and do well at these things.  Also be glad not to run around all day on Tuesday.

finally

I finally got on here, I couldnt get to the website for two or three days.  It looks like they were making updates.  Yesterday was a good day at church, with a business meeting that went well.  Business meetings can always be a rough go of it.  This one is decent.   Daves tooth is still giving him problems.  I feel pretty good.  I have one spot that can get sore but that is about it. 

Today I have an interpreting job and I also am swimming so I will be getting the girls up in a little bit to get around.  Plan to get alot done today.  This is my only job so far this week, will find out if I start that maternity leave in King City early or not.  I think the women has an appt. today. 

Our Grand Finale is tommorow.  Very exicitied about seeing the girls perform, but glad not to run for awhile after that too.  Well best get around more later

up in the middle of the night

Well I got the all clear from the doctor yesterday, I can start swimming again, very happy about that!!! Plan to start this coming Monday. I have a small interpreting job Monday. Also MLK went to her doctor they are taking down her meds, she was completly switched over to a different med. which she likes alot better now the dosage is all that needs to be adjusted.

Tonight will be the volleyball banquet, today we are doing a history movie day and finishing up debate homework. I have felt a bit overwhelmed with projects of late. Have lots of stuff and start things but energy level still isnt all I want it to be.

Lost 11 pounds since surgery, my scales said 13 so my scales are weighing 2 lbs lighter than the docotr scales. I changed to soft foods, ate green beans last night. Really enjoyed the texture, such a nice change. Well I will try to post the new picture of MLK. Plan to take MDK this weekend.
